Für alle Fans der Dungeon Crawl Classics-Reihe gibt es gute Neuigkeiten: Goodman Games springt ins $5000-Boot und wird nahezu alle Serien unter 4E fortsetzen:

Der Übersetzer der deutschen DCCs hat einige Infos zusammengetragen:
“Das erste offizielle Produkt erscheint zum Gamers' Day am 21. Juni dieses Jahres, welcher diesmal stark von WotC unterstützt wird. Zum GenCon hält Goodman Games dann auch das erste DCC-Turnier unter der 4. Edition ab - was von allen mit Spannung erwartet wird, da die Teilnehmer zu diesem Zeitpunkt ja gerade mal 2, 3 Monate Erfahrung mit dem System sammeln konnten. Das Modul zum Turnier ist bereits in Arbeit.

Ferner gehen auch die WICKED-FANTASY-Reihe sowie XCRAWL in die "4. Runde".”

Neue, eigene Systeme sind auch in der Schublade. Im März ist Haiiii-Ya! geplant – ein neues Cartoon Martial Arts Combat-RPG von Goodman Games, bei dem man seinen Lieblingsanimefigur spielen und Shuriken werfend durch die Lande ziehen lassen kann. Eldritch soll schon im Februar erhältlich sein und ist ein eigenständiges Fantasy-System.

Shortly after Dungeons & Dragons 4th Edition was announced, Goodman Games announced that they'd only release a few more Dungeon Crawl Classics adventures for 3.5 before moving to support 4E. And now, the final 3.5 DCCs have arrived! This will be your last chance to get Goodman's classic dungeon crawl feel in the current edition of the world's most popular roleplaying game!

Habe ich das eigentlich richtig verstanden? Die Gebühren muss man nur zahlen, wenn man OGL Produkte gegen 1. August veröffentlichen will. Wenn man mit seiner Veröffentlichung bis 1.1.2009 wartet, entfallen die Gebühren. Stimmt das?

A small group of publishers received advanced notice and will receive these documents prior to June 6, at no cost, in order to prepare for publication of compatible materials by the effective start date. If you haven’t already been contacted by WotC, you will be able to access the documents on the Wizards website beginning on June 6, 2008.

Wizards is also working on the details of a second royalty-free license, the d20 Game System License (d20 GSL). This license will allow third-party publishers to create roleplaying game products in non-fantasy settings with the 4E rules. The exact details for the d20 GSL will be released as they become available.
