Also, habe mir jetzt alle neuen Enden angesehen. Ja, ich lag mit meiner Vermutung falsch. Die Leute bei Bioware waren inkompetent und haben die originalen Endsequenzen versaut, weil sie wohl unter Zeitdruck standen. Daher waren sie wohl auch sofort bereit das alles nochmals zu überarbeiten. Die neuen Dialoge, Zwischensequenzen und Abschlüsse beheben praktisch alle Inkonsequenzen, erklären ziemlich genau, wie sich die Wahl auswirkt und streuen gute und sinnvolle Ergänzungen ein. Auch werden nun die Auswirkungen der Auswahl erläutert, bevor man diese treffen kann.
Das Extended Cut DLC ist fantastisch meiner Meinung nach. Das neue, vierte Ende entspricht genau meinem Geschmack (auch wenn es nicht meine Wahl war). Ich kann sehr empfehlen sich das anzusehen und sei es auch nur auf YouTube. Aber Vorsicht, die vier Abschlüsse variieren nun leicht nach Entscheidungen, welche man während dem Spiel getroffen hat.
Meine Wahl hat sich dadurch komplett geändert. Im Original hatte ich ja die rote Wahl getroffen, weil es die Reaper zerstört und all die kleinen Fehler und inkonsistenten Szenen mich dazu verleitet haben anzunehmen, dass die ganze Sache eh gestellt und Teil der Indoktrination ist. Nun habe ich blau gewählt und liebe es.
Nur schade waren sie nicht von Anfang an dazu fähig. Durch das DLC wird klar, dass die Originalversion nicht philosophisch, absichtlich unklar oder extrem clever und undurchsichtig gedacht war. Es war einfach schlecht erzählt und hatte unzählige Fehler, sowie Lücken.

I really did believe they were going to employ the famed Indoctrination Theory to satisfy fans and keep their “artistic integrity” intact. The gist of it is that the entire last section of the game is not real, and merely a test to see if Shepard will succumb to indoctrination by choosing to control the Reapers (what the Illusive Man wanted) or synthesizing with them (what Saren wanted). The idea was that destroying them was the correct choice as it would break the spell the Reapers had over you, and then we would get to see the actual ending once all was revealed. It would allow Bioware to keep their old ending, deliver new content and look like they had this planned all along.
But as it stands, Indoctrination Theory will now be viewed as nothing more than a figment of fans’ imaginations. To me, this is the biggest tragedy of the game, as if true, it would be the biggest mind warp in video game history, and it’s an ending far smarter and more satisfying than what Bioware actually gave us in the original, or in this new extended DLC.
