Subject: D&D rules question - monks belt
Hello!
The monks belt in the Wondrous Items section of the DMG / RDMG has been changed a bit and qestions arose about the meaning of the following line:
"This AC bonus functions just like the monk’s AC bonus." ... referring to a fifth level monk.
Now, the monk's class description has only one AC bonus, which consists both of a level-based bonus as well as one for high Wisdom. Does the Belt confer both of them or just the level based bonus (at 5th level a monk gets a +1 AC bonus, see the monk's table)?
All the best from Germany and thanks in advance,
Zanan!
The monk's belt confers both the AC bonus granted by the class as well as the bonus granted by having a high Wisdom score.
Thanks!
