Hallo zusammen, hier für unsere Table-Top Freunde die Neuigkeiten, die das DDM2 mit sich bringen wird:

Zitat
Here's something I found on hordelings regarding the changes. Taken from Venport and the below named contributors.

DDM’08 What we know and what we don’t know

Please post things i have left out\need to be changed and I will do my best to keep this up to date.

What we know:
306\307 figs
• Unhallowed
• Night below
• Desert of Desolation
• Dungeon of Dread
• Starter set with 5 figs
• Drizzt (From Icon set)
• All stars
• (if not in all stars really good shot at having Rikka added)

The Starter Set
•April
• $14.95
• 5 fixed minis in clear plastic clamshell: Young Green Dragon, Yuan-Ti, Dwarf Battlemaster, Human Sellsword, Elf Warlock.
• These minis are not included in the dungeon of dread set.
• It's set up as a starter game so the creatures are relatively balanced against each other (possibly a group vs. one dragon).
• Two double-sided maps. One side of one map is split into two maps for smaller battles. (Including the starter/learning battle.)
•Quick Start rules
• New Rulebook: A little less Byzantine

Distribution
•rare/uncommon/common breakdown

Activations
• Change from 8 to 10

Movement
•more speeds to be closer to 6, which means a lot of 7s and 5s
•Effect of movement will be higher

Champions:
• We will not have Commanders, but we will have champions,
• We will want to build most warband around Champion abilities
• Champ abilities can be used as many times as the Champion Rating (robs interview)
• Initiative will change, the player will the highest Champion Rating, will roll 2d20 and take the higher number, the lower Champion ability will Roll 1d20.

Factions will change,
• borderlands, Civilization, underdark, wilderness
• Most figs will be Multifaction
• Example: From Robs interview, Yan-ti will be Civilization, and wilderness and drow would be civilization and underdark but orcs would be Borderlands.

Key words
• Some figs will have “key words”
• Examples are Good, evil and Wizard
• Figs with opposed key words can’t be in the same warband
• Some Key Words can trigger synergies

Very different stat cards
•Stat cards will be more organized with all attack actions listed in one section, each predicated by some sort of icon. (peter lee)

•You'll have a melee icon, ranged icon, area of effect icon, etc. It will make it very obvious on what abilities each creature can do. (peter lee)

•All "attack actions" will be listed at the top of the card.

200 and 500 point play

Targeting will work differently, and will be spelled out on the card

Cards will be the same size

They want the game to be less swingy

We will have maps: however a few of them will not be legal *cough Grotto*

Huge figs
•The July 2008 set is the first 4th Edition huge set, with the Giant theme. 60 mini set in total, with 12 huges, but slightly different c/u/r distribution than we're expecting

Moral
• There will be no Moral
• We will have lots of 1\2 HP effects (Bloodied???)
• half HP effects can be good and they can be bad

Via Shoe:
Desert of Desolation (not Dungeon of Dread) will have 59 of the 60 minis found in the 4.0 MM. ** We think what he is saying is that all the MONSTERS will be from MM1, and 1 monster will be From MM2

What we don’t know:

AoE
• Will there be the same Area effect templates
• Will there even be AoE Templates
• How will these work with the New Targeting Rules

How will ICONS work?

Will movement change
• 2 squares for diagonals or 1, 2, 1, 2

What other Key words will be opposed

Huge figs
•Huge all stars? Mabye
•Huge mabye not just Epic

Summoners: how will they work?

Will AoO Change\go away?

Will we have turn undead? if so how will it work?

Rumors:
The person who wins init gets to act with 1 fig others will be 2 figs per phase

Borderlands???
