Thema: [PF] Defending Dagger & Buckler

Ein Defending Weapon kann ja seinen Enhancement Bonus als unbenannten Bonus auf die AC verschieben. Im Buch konnte ich keine weitere Vorraussetzung dafür finden. Jetzt stellt sich mir die Frage: Könnte man z.B. einen Dolch damit verzaubern und diesen dann zusätzlich zu einem Buckler in der Schildhand führen und von beiden den AC Bonus bekommen (denn der Buckler verliert seinen ja nur wenn man mit der Hand etwas anderes macht als verteidigen) ?

Ich denke, dass das Verteidigen mit der Waffe den Angriff ersetzt, und man den Buckler deswegen nicht verwenden kann (nicht effektiv) ... danach müsste es aber mit "improved buckler defense" gehen.
Gute Frage, ich kann nur mutmaßen, aber es gibt hier auch eine Menge kompetentere Leute als mich

Da Defending dir einen unnamed Bonus gibt und der Passus über "use weapon" (DMG, 224) nach der Aktivierung der Verzauberung auf die zeitliche Abfolge zielt und nicht auf eine notwendige Vorraussetzung, kannst du auch den Schild Bonus vom Buckler ohne das Feat improved Buckler Defense bekommen, wenn du mit der Waffe nicht angreifst.

Ist zwar ziemlich teuer, aber geht.
Billiger wäre es ein Item mit einem Unnamed AC Bonus nach den Regeln des DMG herzustellen. Auch wenn dann der Faktor 2500 und nicht wie bei der Waffe 2000 wäre, aber du brauchst keine +1 Verzauberung Defending vorher.

Wo ich allerdings nicht sicher bin ist die Auslegung des Buckler Passus, der sich in 3.5

In any case, if you use a weapon in your off hand, you don’t get the buckler’s AC bonus for the rest of the round.

Wie aus dem Text schön ersichtlich wird, ist das bloße Halten der Waffe kein "use" im Sinne von Verlust des Schildbonuses. Mit "use" ist klar eine aktive Handlung verknüpft und nicht das Transferieren von enhanchment Boni als freie Aktion.
