A man-long caterpillar-like creature crawls toward you on dozens of stubby leg-like appendages. Fleshy feelers extend in your direction, obviously betraying the eyeless creature your whereabouts, for it turns the glandular protrusions at the sides of its tooth-filled mouth toward you.Velvet Worm, Giant CR 1/2

Adhesive (Ex) The velvet worm can shoot its adhesive within a range of 30 ft. with no range increment. A creature hit by a giant velvet worm’s adhesive glands can become entangled as if hit with a tanglefoot bag, except that the DC to avoid being glued to the ground respectively becoming unable to fly is 12, and the resin has a number of hp equal to twice the worm’s original hp.
The Strength check DC to break free from being glued to the ground is 12 as well.
The DCs are Constitution-based.
Poison (Ex) Bite—injury; save Fort DC 12; frequency 1/round for 4 rounds; effect 1d2 Strength damage; cure 1 save.Velvet worms are rare and solitary hunters, named for the suede- or velvet-like structure of their epidermis. This, in fact, comes from microscopic sensory papillae, which covers the creature’s body in high density, giving it its velvety feel. The creature itself looks like an elongated ringed worm moving on two rows of numerous stubby protrusions ending in chitinous claws. A velvet worm’s head basically consists of two fleshy, ringed antennae, a circular mouth with two pincer-like mandibles extruding from it, and two short-stalked adhesive glands positioned at the sides of its mouth. Despite the stats above describing velvet worms as blind, most have eyes, but these are so tiny and almost functionless, that the creature technically can only perceive brightness with them.
Instead, velvet worms rely on their other senses to locate prey and entangle it with their adhesive glands before leisurely crawling close and chewing their catch into pieces.
Velvet worms come in all kinds of coloration, from dull grey to splendid multicolored patterns, and they require a warm and moist climate. Most are terrestrial, but some species even live aquatic, in freshwater as well as in saltwater.
Even more variants can be created by changing hit dice and size, as shown by some examples in the table below.

The
lotus velvet worm is a brightly-colored jungle dweller which attracts prey with alluring scents, the
chameleon velvet worm can change its color, the
burrowing velvet worm lurks for prey well-camouflaged burrowed under soil and foliage, the
spiked velvet worm is protected by sharp spines covering its body, the
black velvet worm is a swamp- and lake-dweller, whose adhesive is additionally caustic and predigests captured prey. The
trench velvet worm, at last, is a voracious deep sea dweller, hunting anything it can get in the lightless depths.
Although a velvet worm usually doesn’t have treasure, alchemists may pay some bits of gold for fresh or preserved adhesive glands, which might prove useful as components for tanglefoot bags or
sovereign glue.
Edit: Wer sich immer noch nicht vorstellen kann, was ein 'Velvet Worm' ist (deutsch: Stummelfüßer oder Krallenträger)
